A small town in southern England decided they were tired of the Pound, and decided that they would start using their own currency, the Lewes Pound.
Shoot, if I'd known it was so easy to just come up with your currency, I would have done that years ago.

Yeah... except for the fact that it's illegal in the US for anyone other than the federal government to issue currency. Would be nice though.
