Christmastime Reading List, etc.

I have a month off. I guess I had a month off last Christmas, too, but it started in the middle of December. I took my last section of the CPA exam on Wednesday afternoon in Tulsa. I got home and had a relatively busy evening, followed by Thanksgiving yesterday which was busy from start to finish. So today, I say, is the official start of my last good break before real life hits me.

I've been scheming about all the things I would get to do in December. I've started making Christmas cards (I got hooked after last year's fabulous Christmas Card Extravaganza with my print-making friend), I've got a mini-trip to Dallas planned for next week where I get to see my drumming maniac friend's band, and I've been filing away ideas of books to read. Cozying up with a book, a blanket, and a delicious steamer sounds so appealing during the (hopefully coming) chilly December days.

Some of the books I want to read this December:
  1. Wuthering Heights
  2. The Horse and His Boy (CofN)
  3. The Last Battle (CofN)
  4. Little House on the Prairie Series (9 books)
Nos. 2 and 3 are the last two books in the Chronicles of Narnia. I know that No. 4 is childish, nostalgic, and just plain silly, but there's something about this time of year that I think excuses such behavior.

I know that December will fly by faster than I want, but I've got to milk it for all it's worth. Dallas is just around the corner!

I definitely recommend books #2 and #3. I loved them both.

Hope to be joining the relaxation club soon...two more days, two more days :).
